Future basketball stars: a master class within the framework of the Erasmus+ Sport / Basketball-KTN project (04.29.2025, Chernivtsi)
On April 24, 2025, a basketball master class was held for young basketball players of the Bukovynian Stars basketball club as part of the European Union project Erasmus+ Sport / Creating a hybrid model of a knowledge transfer network for the promotion and development of basketball.
The event was organized by the public organization YOUTH. SCIENCE. SPORT. HEALTHY MOVEMENT OF UKRAINE, which is a project participant.
The purpose of the event was to familiarize young basketball players with innovative approaches to professional training and the use of digital technologies in basketball.
At the beginning, the opening ceremony was attended by the chairman of the public organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Yaroslav Halan, a member of the board of the organization, PhD in Physical Education and Sports, Associate Professor Svitlana Duditska, basketball club coach Viacheslav Havliuk, physical education teacher Alina Shchitka, basketball students and other project participants.
Next, there was a warm-up with basketballs, followed by relay races with basketball elements led by Viacheslav Havliuk.
Yaroslav Galan noted that modern approaches in the basketball training process are extremely important, as the use of the latest technologies opens up opportunities for the development of both coaches and future specialists, and it is the experience of European partners that is actively shared with students that is crucial in today’s environment.
During the event, certificates were awarded to the participants – basketball students who had participated in trainings organized by European partners within the project for a month and a half.
The Basketball Knowledge Transfer Network, created as part of the project, was also presented, where participants will be able to register for further training.
All participants received commemorative medals with the project logo and gifts.
